Matarau School EMR 2008

Matarau School year 5 and 6 students took part in the EMR programme in Term 4, 2008.  Highlights included a trip to the Whangarei harbour Marine Reserve, and a camp at NZ's oldest marine reserve - Goat Island.

The kids came up with some awesome actions including poster displays on overfishing, poaching, bottom trawling and stormwater pollution which they displayed around their school and local libraries.  Congrats to Chloe Neil and Reumah Horne for winning a trip to the Poor Knights Islands marine reserve with EMR with their awesome poster and quilt display and presentation.
