Whangarei Homeschoolers

Whangarei Homeschoolers EMR 2008

Whangarei Homeschoolers took part in the EMR programme in 2008 with Kim Boyle.  The kids range in age from Year 1 to 13 and  they all learnt together about NZ's unique marine biodiversity and the plight of our seas.  After checking out the new reserve in the Whangarei Harbour they ventured down to NZ's oldest marine reserve at Goat Island where they were inspired by the big Snapper and Crayfish in very shallow water.  The group is now planning their actions.  Watch this space for updates...
