Experiencing Marine Reserves - Schools - Northland - Helena Bay

Helena Bay School is a small community based coastal school on the North Eastern coastline of Northland, near the Mimiwhangata marine park. The Experiencing Marine Reserves programme was active in Helena Bay School in 2003, with teacher Ratu Lolohea. Their local marine investigation field trip took place at Mimiwhangata, before venturing to Leigh marine reserve for a day trip.
