Waipu Primary School

EMR - Waipu Primary School

Four classes from Waipu Primary School participated in the EMR programme in term 1 of 2007.

Highlights included a wet and wild snorkel in the Mangawhai estuary, a swell snorkel at Waipu Cove and of course…an amazing snorkel with the abundant and diverse marine life at New Zealand’s oldest marine reserve - Goat Island.

Students presented their journeys using PowerPoint and photo story technology on computers with sound and special effects.  They were very impressive!!  Rhiannon Sim went the extra mile and made a movie showing her family trip to Goat Island.  Rhiannon had loads of fun whilst educating her family and others about the marine reserve at Goat Island.  Great work Rhiannon!
