Experiencing Marine Reserves – Wellington 2012

This season was funded by the Wellington City Council, WWF-NZ, the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust (via the Tindall Foundations support for national expansion).

The funding has enable us to double the number of students taking part the programme this year. Seven classes from 5 different schools, and students from the Wesley Community Trust youth have all been enjoying exploring the Island Bay Taputerenga Marine Reserve with the EMR programme.

We are in our fifth year of the EMR programme in Wellington. The 2012 schools involved were Island Bay, Houghton Valley, Berhampore, Miramar and St Anne Schools.
