The Tindall Foundation recently celebrated their 20th anniversary of giving. They recognised Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust for making an outstanding contribution to New Zealand. The award was presented by Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae The Governor-General of New Zealand.
The Tindall Foundation donations have supported the development and expansion of the EMR programme into eight regions, the most recent being Otago. This enabled the team to host 27 marine community engagement events last summer across the eight regions. It also hosted the National Marine and Freshwater Education Wananga, the only opportunity of its kind in New Zealand for marine conservationists and educators to connect about initiatives.
The Tindall Foundation have been the backbone for the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust and has been absolutely critical to achieve the EMR programme’s national expansion and the development of community guided snorkel days throughout eight regions of New Zealand.
